Justice

 My sense of justice screams for there to be

A trial for the misuse of a soul.

The consequences doled out by

   religious theories

   ethics panels

   criminal proceedings

All concepts and moral ideals 

Could never be commensurate with the crime, by leagues.

Hell takes too long.

The collateral loss for misusing someone's soul;

   Loss of trust

   Relationships fallen away

   Financial portfolio diminished.

Ego still intact, the damage is done

and done successfully.

The violator walks away from shards

of someone else’s problem.

Hand the perpetrators over to Empathy.

She knows where to hit.

To unlock the true potential of benevolence

would be a cruelty almost unjust.

She’ll show them what a Soul really is

and have them begging for Her to close their eyes again.

But She won’t.

That’s not what She does.  She only reveals,

without mercy.
